This method, known as Sugar Cane process uses Ethyl Acetate, a naturally occurring compound derived from sugar cane molasses. Ethyl Acetate is found in a number of fruits including apples and bananas. The green beans are steamed to open the pores then soaked in an EA solution which binds to the caffeine molecules and extracts them. This cycle is repeated over a number of hours until the caffeine content is in the region of 70%. The beans are steamed for a second time to remove any traces of EA before being dried.
Our EA Decaff is processed in Germany in premises that are IFS certified and has AEO, C-TPAT and FDA certifications.

Really nice boutique roast

I buy the beans to use in my Barsita Express coffee machine at home. I have been buying the Dynamic blend which is a little darker but very smooth and easy drinking. Definitley worth a try.
